How we managed 20 years of continuous growth

(the secret’s in the smile)

When your entire business model is based on providing hospitality in all its myriad forms, along with hard work there is one certain way to ensure success - smile. Smile, they say, and the world smiles with you.

It has certainly brought us a long way. From our 200 bed hotel opened in 1987 with a staff of 20, we have grown into an organisation of over 1000, together managing more than 2500 beds throughout our 4 properties.

And that of course does not include all the work our outside catering company has done, or the contribution of the Dragonara Casino to the groups’ success.

What has seen us through these 20 years of continuous growth has been the hard work of all our management and staff, carried out with dedication and determination.

Through it all, the genuine smile has been a mark of what we do and it has come to symbolise Island Hotels Group.  And when a guest smiles, we know that we are doing our job well and doing it properly. None of this would have been possible without the support of our customers and guests.
