Island Hotels Group Holdings plc invited 60 of its Managers to participate in a full day conference aimed at communicating the company’s business plans for the coming year as well as to participate in a team building activity aimed at re kindling the concept of “The Power of One” within the group. The Power of One was launched a few years ago and is a powerful concept which encourages Managers to collaborate as one team in order to reach the organizations full potential as a whole. The activity itself introduced an element of competition whereby each participating group was required to break a number of codes and riddles in order to find the location of a virtual treasure.

The debriefing session following the activity run by Mr. Andrew Weavill from SuccessLodge results in deep awareness of the power of one and the possibility of achieving greatness as a team and greater success as an organization.  Mrs. Christina Galea, Group HR Director, stated that “Such events bring managers together in an informal environment and through such communication truly involves them and drives them to participate in the future prospects and vision of the company with a lasting effect of team spirit and motivation.”
