iCaterer wins Best Application Award

Island Caterers have won the best application award for their newly launched web application, iCaterer, at this year’s MCA eBusiness Awards held on the 1st of December. iCaterer was developed together with Mangion & Lightfoot and it’s a web based application that facilitates wedding planning. It allows couples planning their wedding full control and flexibility whilst guiding them to choose their perfect venue, menu and all the other important details according to their budget and requirements.

Multiple wedding plans may be created anytime and anywhere, edited, compared and shared with friends and family. The application was designed to facilitate the process behind planning your wedding, allowing couples to view all the food items and packages offered by Island Caterers in real time from the comfort of their own home. They will then be presented with an estimate quote and the opportunity to submit their quote to island caterers should they wish to be contacted by the company.

“iCaterer is the first app of its kind. We’re very proud of what we’ve managed to achieve and with the response we’ve received so far. As Island Caterers we’re always seeking new and innovative ways to make the stress of planning your wedding easier,” says Rachelle Tabone, Marketing Manager for Island Hotels Group.

The MCA eBiz awards are singled out as a unique annual event of its kind in Malta because it is the only award that acknowledges the use of technology in the entrepreneurial efforts of individuals and organizations. A well-established industry forum, these awards bring together talented ICT professionals to recognize innovative and unique business initiatives that blend web-based technologies with entrepreneurial flair.
