Radisson Blu Resorts, Malta extend Earth Hour 2013 to Earth Evening

Radisson Blu Resorts celebrates Earth Hour 2013

Last Saturday 23rd March, Radisson Blu Resort, St.Julian’s and Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Sands joined millions around the world in support of Earth Hour by switching off all external lights and lights in the lobby around each hotel for one hour.

From 8.30pm to 9.30pm the Resorts functioned by candlelight encouraging guests and followers on their various Facebook pages to do the same. This year Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts, Malta extended Earth Hour to the Earth Evening and  hosted dinner by candlelight for the evening at Le Bistro in St. Julian’s and all restaurants at Golden Sands.

Originally an event organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Earth Hour is the single, largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world.   Born out of a hope that people can be mobilized to take action on climate change, Earth Hour now inspires a global community of millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries and territories to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment
